Sowiks lives in your macOS menu bar — click the Sowiks icon at the top-right of your screen to capture an area, window, or the full screen, run OCR, or open Preferences.
On first capture, macOS asks for Screen Recording permission (required to capture your screen). To use global keyboard shortcuts while other apps are focused, also grant Accessibility permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security, then relaunch Sowiks.
Accounts & sign-in
Capturing and editing work without an account. Signing in (with Apple or Google) is only needed to upload screenshots and create shareable links. Sign in from Preferences → the Cloud tab.
If you sign in with both Apple and Google using the same email address, they resolve to the same Sowiks account.
Subscriptions & refunds
Sowiks is free to start. Paid plans (Solo and Team) are billed through the Mac App Store. Manage or cancel a subscription anytime in App Store → your account → Subscriptions.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Delete your account
You can permanently delete your account and all cloud data at any time from inside the app: Preferences → Cloud tab → Delete Account.
This removes your account, your uploaded screenshots, and their share links from our servers. Screenshots saved locally on your Mac are not affected.
